With the new restraints and some trips removed, it's a lot better.

And yeah, some trims have been removed. Go check it out.

This is the worst ride I have ever been on.

What's with the STILL pictures in some scenes?

The only fun thing about it is going "Been there, been there, not been there... been there, been there" amongst uncultured Americans who've barely left the state.

I'm glad I got to ride Corkscrew Hill at Christmas... It was good. sad.gif

QUOTE
I think that if they had a pilot talking and describing what you are seeing rather then elevator music it would have added to the ride.

I could not agree more.

Old topic bumping ftw. I ain't making new ones when these are perfectly fine...

I LOVE Apollo!

I've ridden Silver Star, Nitro, Diamondback, Apollo's Chariot, Intimidator and Goliath. Either Goliath or Apollo are my favourites.

Nitro is so awful that it made me sad.

Silver Star... Forceless thing, but it was smoother than most of the ones I've ridden in the USA and it's final turns were cool.

I liked Intimidator a lot. It's smooth and really cool.

Diamondback is meh.

Now that I've ridden Griffon in the summer, I can safely say that I think it's the least interesting ride-wise of the 3 dive machines I've ridden.

But, it's the prettiest, by a long way. Unlike Sheikra, it's presented well like Oblivion, and is a superior spectator ride.

Griffon's main drop and inversions are really, really dull.

Still baffled at what this shit is. Saw fireworks and some parade thing near Griffon that the French would kill the management for if they ever saw it. Meh?

Is the music on the bridge a permanent thing or just a Illuminights thing? Because, it's awful, and needs to die. Busch Gardens the sitcom?

Mutiple cheaper rides VS one big flyer? ...I know what I'd choose from a business perspective.

I hope you would select the big flyer. If not, (and in no means do I mean to sound predatory here) you seem to lack business acumen and how it relates to the entertainment industry. A staple ride or show is something you can build a multiple year marketing campaign around that will draw a crowd. If you are able to claim a first such as "Tallest Drop Coaster" you garner more crowds. Good luck trying to play a marketing campaign around the scrambler and swings.

Busch Gardens is in a great location though so it can thrive if they add in another indoor theatre with a new Celtic Frye caliber show and a few million dollar coaster.

A... theatre is a smaller and cheaper attraction? When I said that though, I kinda meant smaller coasters made by cheaper companies. My entire post was about change of hands affecting their creepy relationship with B&M.

Besides, when they get just a drop tower next year and no flyer, I guess you can criticise BG for their lacking business sense.

I think it's likely they did have a mid term development plan with a flyer in place before the company switched hands, but with the company change management are not restricted with ride manufacturers anymore - especially if the governing company wants to invest less in the park overall. (Which would explain BBW leaving.)

I didn't mean KD knew what they were doing. I meant that they probably pushed for taller and faster and Intamin went along with it without voicing concern (if they had any) because... well, money.

Besides, the GP love it. Most people won't notice that the free-fall is halted mid drop, or that it's not going 94mph. They'll think it's great because the marketing told them so.

Coasters which are really tall/fast/have many inversions can't loose money, because even if you're ride is shit people will still come to ride it because of it's stats.

^ If you're to be believed... I think that sounds cool.

Family coaster with top hat like element COULD be a MS spinner. From plans seen at quick glance, an the immelman could look top hat like.
Will be funny if it is.

I think I305 is really poor for what it is. But I rode it post-trims.

I think it's utterly ridiculous to build a ride that cannot function as it was designed to... and Intamin should have known it would suffer with requiring excessive wheel replacements. If they didn't know, then w-t-f. Maybe they did know and warned KD but the park pushed for the ride because of publicity? Who knows.

Random, and unlikely, but I was just thinking how cool a highly themed and indoors one of these would be...

I think that's evidence that when you ban things, it makes people do it more.

I never have issues with fireworks here, except around November 5th when everyone feels the need to have their own worthless display in their gardens and keep me up all night.

Phantasia's tower was the firs thing I thought of when I heard about this.

The ride itself isn't ...brilliant, but it's so weird that it makes up for it. However, you know if it was in Ameirca, all possible weirdness would be removed and replaced with cheese. And not the good kind that's edible and from France.

Tower rides don't really excite me.

Hurakan Condor is overrated. Not being able to choose the side you sit on ("stand up" floorless or sit down) is a bummer, and the fact that it doesn't have a regular stand up side with a floor is frankly just shit. The themeing, when on ride, is minimal. There's not a lot inside that building at the bottom at all.

I'd like to see somewhere where you#'re partially enclosed, but it's the top half, and there's some sort of "show" or theming within it.

Also, maybe I've missed something, but do we actually know it's a drop tower type ride? Topple Tower seems more up their street, or maybe it's just a theming structure that's tall and tower like.

I don't think the floorlessless of the dive machine made a notable difference to the experiance. But this could be because it was so cold I wasn't looking all around, but instead huddled up.

I can't touch the floor, or reach the bar, on them anyway. [/short] :C

I think Sheikras second drop is better cause of the tunnel...I always ducked my head. I loved Griffon floorless train on the far edge....a gave me a sense of freedom and got a bit scare since I felt there was really nothing there to hold me.
BGT really screwed up making SheiKra floorless! One of their biggest mistake EVER!
I Felt more airtime on SheiKra's first drop than Griffon's. Also I did not like Griffon's second immelman..it just seem so repetitive to me despite it only being 2 inversions... Griffon is located in a better location VS Sheikra.

Seems like we share a lot of opinions here.

Sheikra's second drop didn't do it for me. Griffon's had a great pop of air, it was fantastic.

Besides, that's no tunnel on Sheikra! ;P

THAT'S a tunnel!
