Forum Rules
Welcome to the BGEscape Forums. These forums are here for our members to discuss Busch Gardens Europe, theme parks in general, trip reports, ride reviews, participate in games and contests, and other subjects.
Here on the forums we would like to keep with the same family friendly environment that can be found at the park itself. That means conduct yourself in a proper manner. BGEscape is also non-smoking without designated smoking areas. Thank you.
This is our list of rules that must be followed by all members that posts on these forums. Also included is a list of actions that will be taken if these rules are broken. If these rules are not followed, action will be taken against the person, which includes warnings, temporary bans, and permanent bans.
Rules and Guidelines
1. There is an off-topic section, but this in no way means spam. If you decide to spam these boards, your warning will go up by one increment at al time. Depending on the frequency and severity of the posts, we will decide whether to just warn you or go ahead and have you banned for some amount of time.
2. Please use correct grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling to kept the posts on this forum easy to understand. Also, please do not post all in capital letters. If you do not follow this simple rule your post may be edited or all together deleted. We will take action against people who constantly and deliberately break this rule.
3. Do not post more than 1 time in a row. There is an edit button at the top of your posts that allows you to add or change your post. If you want your edit to show up as a new post, still do not post more than 1 time in a row. Simply copy what you said in the old post over to your new one. After you make the new post, delete the old one. Failure to follow this simple rule may result in an editing of your posts, or deletion of one or more of your posts.
4. For most offenses, you will get warning. However, if you decide to "flame" another member, there will be no warnings. You will automatically be banned depending on the severity of your "flaming". Your posts may be edited or deleted.
5. Please refrain from making posts that are very short, as in less than 1 full sentence. If a post is this short, more than likely it should not even be posted. If we see this, we will delete the post if we deem it unnecessary and if it continues, members will be warned and will be banned if the problem continues.
6. Do not post or link to any objectionable material on this site. It will absolutely not be tolerated and will more than likely result in immediate ban. This is to keep with the standards and rules that you must follow when visiting Busch Gardens Europe Park itself, if you can behave at the park there is no reason you cannot behave on forums about the park.
7. Use the search feature before posting a topic. The forums become way too confusing and cluttered if we have three topics discussing the same thing. The exception to this is that if the older topic is more than 60 days old. You can choose whether to post in this old topic or just create a new one.
8. Keep one-on-one conversations to PM's or other instant messenger programs and keep them off the forums.
Warnings and Banning
This is a list of the actions we will take if you decide to break the rules we have set forth.
First Offense - Verbal warning, either in a topic or through PM
Second Offense - Warning level increased by 1
Third Offense - Warning level increased again, possibly banned for at least one week
Fourth Offense - Warning level increased yet again, banned for at least one month or even up to a year, depending on the offense
If you are banned, do not bother contacting one of us. If you were warned enough times to be banned, there is no need trying to explain yourself. Just wait for the ban to expire, come back to the forums (if you wish), and conduct yourself in a proper manner.
Once your ban expires, you are allowed to come back to the forums. Your warning level will decrease as you show that you can act more maturely. If you decide to continue to break the rules, you will be dealt with very quickly and harshly.
